I am sure you have been dying to hear about my progress from the last few months. It has been such a long time since I have updated anyone about what I’ve been doing. Well, I can sum it up in a couple of words: soul searching. Yep that very pesky thing that you have to do every once in a while. What have I been soul searching? Well, a lot of things.

As you know I moved in April this year to Chattanooga Tennessee. Amongst all that move required, I looked into my pricing structure, how I am presenting my self and products, as well as where I’d like to be in the future.  I realized what I am lacking and where I’m lacking it, and created steps to improve them. These steps are hopefully going to lend themselves to my personal progress and the progress of my business.

When I started this blog it was all about me and my thoughts, an attempt to sale my work, through a simple means. It’s nit that simple. As I have grown and progressed I realized that the sale though important, was not what the blog is about. The blog is to show progress in an eunterpuneral business. What I have struggled with and overcame, what my progress has been, and what I learned. All in hopes that you may learn from my mistakes or just find out how to overcome the same issues I’m having or possibly giving tips to your own.

How am i going to do this? For starters I am going to talk about things that I feel are struggles or things that are holding me back. Even if what is holding me back is myself. I’m a lot of lazy and since I am currently working a full time job while I run my business, I tend to not want to work anymore when I get home. The progress that I can make is held back by sheer laziness. Not a good thing for any business. So despite me being tired I will be doing something for my business at least 4 times a week.

A couple things are going to be changing with my products. I am limiting the types of products I am going to have. Basically I will have an 11×14 print. That will be the biggest size I will print. I will, however, have it so you can just buy the print, have it matted, or choose a frame. I will also have handmade cards with a 4×6 print on them. All cards will be signed with the image name written in my own hand. So hopefully you can read it, because I’ve been told that my handwriting looks awful (exact words were “doctor’s handwriting”).

Since I wasn’t pleased with the first batch I ordered, I am searching for a new place to make them. So if you know anyone who can make puzzles let me know by commenting or emailing me at arlegance@gmail.com. But as of right now I will not have any puzzles for sale. Sorry!

My last thing that I would love to tell you about is something that I just realized this past Sunday. It involves a story. Don’t worry it will be a short story!

I had gone to church dwelling on what I could do with my business, feeling very defeated. I choose to not give up and solve my problems. A gentleman stood up to talk about Joseph Smith, and I had the thought, “Inspiration comes to those who seek it.” I wrote it down and then thought about it and my business. For some odd reason I realized that most, if not all, of my pictures that I have taken, I have been wearing heels.

That is my story, now this is what I wanted to tell you. I wear heels to just about everything: hiking, going to the pool, climbing mountains, dancing, to work (usually), and just about a number of other things. I am the photographer in heels! That is my brand. It is what makes me unique.

So here is the fun thing I would like to do. I would like to have you tell me what I should take pictures of while I’m in heels. They have to be within reason, and something I can get to while living in Chattanooga, TN. Comment below your fabulous ideas and share to see what your friends and family think.

  1. I think you should go check out and take pictures at Ruby Falls (the under ground waterfall) and/or Rock City (a scenic hike with gardens). 🙂

    1. Oh those are on my to do list. I have gone through Ruby Falls with Dad and Brenda, but I wasn’t in heels at the time since I was told I needed to wear flats. I told them later I was going back on heels to take photos. So those will be coming hopefully this summer! I haven’t done Rock City yet.
